Certification Standard

Clean tech for childhood

Pure Screen Tech certifies children's devices against family-first safety standards — so you can choose with confidence.

Technology parents can trust

Pure Screen Tech is an independent certification standard for children's devices and digital products. We evaluate products against parent-centered safety criteria — like connectivity, advertising, software behavior, and content boundaries — so families can make faster, more confident choices.

We're not anti-tech. We're pro-intentional tech. Think of us as the organic label for kids' devices.

No Ads

Zero advertising or upsells

No Open WiFi

Controlled connectivity

No Auto-Updates

Predictable behavior

Age-Appropriate

Content boundaries enforced

Parents shouldn't need to become IT auditors

Most children's technology today is too connected, too commercialized, and too hard to evaluate. We turn vague concern into a visible signal.

Too Connected

Open WiFi, app stores, and unfiltered browsing on devices made for 4-year-olds.

Too Commercialized

Ads, in-app purchases, and sponsored content disguised as play.

Too Unpredictable

Silent updates change what a device does overnight. No parental notice.

Too Hard to Evaluate

No clear labels, no standards, no easy way for parents to compare.

Three levels of trust

Each tier builds on the last, giving parents a clear, graduated signal of device safety.

Common questions

Any digital product designed for children — tablets, e-readers, learning devices, apps, smart toys, and educational platforms. If it has a screen and is marketed to kids, it can be evaluated.

Not at all. We believe technology can be wonderful for children when it's designed thoughtfully. Our goal is to help parents distinguish between devices that are intentionally designed for kids and those that aren't — not to discourage screen use entirely.

We're currently in our launch phase and working with early partners. Reach out to learn about our founding member program and certification process.

Products are evaluated by an independent review panel with expertise in child development, digital safety, product design, and software engineering. Our standards are transparent and publicly documented.

Yes. If a product changes through updates in ways that no longer meet our standards, the certification can be revoked. This is one reason we value products that don't auto-update without consent.
